Season 1- Cheerleading, Cross Country, 7th & 8th Football, and Volleyball are just around the corner!

*All CCA- Season 1 Athletics begin on 8/24
*A school physical must be completed prior to participating in athletics.
*Parental Acknowledgement Forms must be completed in Infinite Campus.
*Head coaches for each team will provide athletes with either a Remind or Band code to receive specific updates for their team.

To be prepared for the upcoming school year, please visit Infinite Campus and complete the Parental Acknowledgement Forms. These acknowledgements include items such as permission for athletics and activities, and field trips.

We are excited for another terrific school year! As we work to ensure all students are ready for the upcoming school year, we ask that families go online before the first day of school or the beginning of fall athletic/activity practices to complete the Parental Acknowledgement Forms via their Infinite Campus Parent Portal. While you're there, please check to ensure your contact information is correct and up-to-date!

If your student will be participating in Season 1 Athletics, please review the information below to prepare them for our first week.

As a reminder, students must have their athletic physical on file or have their physical to turn in prior to participating. Also, remember to complete the District Parental Acknowledgement available in Infinite Campus to provide permission for your student to participate in athletics.

Reminder- The Season 1 Athletics Parent Meeting will be today, August 13th @ 5:00pm in the CCA Gymnasium. *Please park in the back parking lot and use the Athletics Entrance to find the CCA Gymnasium.

Topic: Reminder- Cougar Camp!

We are excited to see our newest Cougars on Tuesday, August 11th from 12:30pm-4:00pm! If your student has not yet registered for Cougar Camp, they are still welcome to register.

Everyone will meet on the patio when they arrive and students will be brought into the building at 12:30pm. Families can return to the patio to pick up their Cougar at 4:00pm.

-8th grade - from 8:00am - 9:30am
-7th grade - from 10:00am - 11:30am
-6th grade - from 12:00pm - 3:00pm

*August 31st- First Day of School (First Bell Rings at 7:45am)

As a reminder, at CCA, Back-to-School Night is called “Meet the Teacher Night” and is on Tuesday, September 1st from 5:30pm-7:30pm.

Topic: Volleyball Tryouts and WyoRanch

Volleyball tryouts will be held on August 24th, 25th, and 26th. Please see the specific times for each grade level below.

6th Grade- 4:30pm-6:00pm (Auxiliary Gym)
7th Grade- 3:00pm-4:30pm (Main Gym)
8th Grade- 4:30pm-6:00pm (Main Gym)

Players will be notified after the third day of tryouts whether they made the A team, B team, or C team. If a player makes the C team, those practices and games will take place at WyoRanch. NCSD transportation will be provided to assist players after school. Please review the flyer below for more information about the C team program hosted at WyoRanch.

Please remember that all athletes will need to have either already turned in their athletic physical to the CCA Main Office or have it with them to turn in at tryouts.

Topic: School Supplies

School supplies will be provided by the school district again this year!

The only personal items that CCA students may want to purchase for the upcoming school year are a backpack (to bring items to and from school), a lunch box, a water bottle, locker accessories, and shoes for P.E.

*Please note that students will store their personal backpacks in their lockers during the school day. Students will be provided a computer carrying case to safely carry their Chromebook and charger from class to class. CCA will also supply students with all other school supplies that they will need. For example, CCA will supply Chromebooks and chargers, binders, notebooks, paper, pencils, highlighters, sticky notes, etc.
