POISON SPIDER is looking for 2 Volleyball Coaches for our 6th - 8th grade season.
Practices will be held at Poison Spider School from 3:30 - 5:00

Expectations and Responsibilities

2 volleyball coach positions available

Education: High School Diploma / GED
Requirements: Current PTSB Coaching Certificate and current CPR / First Aid card

Able to work afternoons, evenings, nights & weekends (not including Sunday) to provide the necessary practice time and game schedule associated with the sport and season length. Coaches are expected to schedule practice every weekday (M - F) except for holidays, game days, and never on Sundays. All Natrona County School District (NCSD) student-sponsored activities and sports must be completed by 6 pm at the middle schools and 6:30 pm at the high schools on Wednesdays as per Board Policy 1200 Parent and Community Night.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTS

Poison Spider Middle School students have the opportunity to participate at CY or Dean Morgan for sports. A Sports Bus from Poison Spider to these two schools is provided once school starts.

Middle school Fall sports begin on Monday, August 18th. Fall sports include 7th & 8th Football, 6th - 8th Cross Country, 6th - 8th Volleyball and Cheerleading. Students must have a sports physical prior to the first practice. Please turn the form in at either Dean Morgan or CY Middle School.

The district has changed the process for choosing a school for participation. This change in process became necessary due to some middle schools reaching capacity with athletes and those schools not being able to support more student athletes. Poison Spider students will have priority over non-district students if they chose the school between now and August 4th. The placement will be determined based on capacity at the school chosen. Once your child is placed in a school for participation, that will be the school for the entire year. Even if your child is not participating in a Fall sport, please choose the school now. If you chose a school other than CY or Dean Morgan, you will be responsible for transportation to that school for practice.

Selection Procedures:
Contact the NCSD Activities and Athletics Office (307-253-5462)
Select an available school, which will be the designated site for the year.
The selected school will be notified by the NCSD Activities and Athletics Office of the student participating at their school.
Parent must turn in the Sports Physical and Online Parent Acknowledgement

Just because you chose a certain school, you are not guaranteed a spot at that site. It will be based on capacity.
