Here is an informative piece from our friends at Better Wyoming Action Research:
VOTE HOW YOU WANT
Voting is a personal choice. Wyoming’s election laws can make it a tough one for some people.
Most Wyoming elections are effectively decided in the Republican primaries, in August. And the Legislature has banned voters from switching parties at the polls to vote in the primary of their choice.
In advance of the May 13 “cutoff” for switching parties, State Representative Karlee Provenza encouraged her neighbors not to feel constrained by party loyalty if it means they can’t make their vote count.
“To me, my freedom to cast my ballot where I choose is fundamental to the democratic process,” Provenza writes. “Each ballot I cast reflects my love for my country and my commitment to Wyoming — not a pledge to my party.”

I am sure everyone has this thought more than one time!
Yup.

We may have lost today’s battle, but not the war.
After hearing testimony in opposition to HB178 from not just educators and WEA members, but also the AFL-CIO, public employees and the firefighting community (and thanks to everyone who testified!), the House Education Committee unfortunately passed HB178, moving it to the full House for consideration. It was a close vote — 3 opposed, 4 in favor. Much of the testimony from the proponents of this anti-WEA bill (which included out-of-state lobbying) was, to put it politely, factually inaccurate.
But it’s not over! The bill has to go through multiple readings on the House floor before the Senate even receives it, so please take the time to reach out to your representative and tell them to VOTE NO ON HB178. Don’t let them take away your voice!
