Cougars Expanding Horizons By traveling abroad, students will experience a brand-new country with incredible new outlooks, customs and activities.

Cougars Expanding Horizons is a group dedicated to providing opportunities for CHS students to travel abroad in order to provide authentic learning experiences while being immersed in various cultures. The benefits of traveling abroad include the opportunity to see new terrains, natural wonders, museums and landmarks of the host nation. During the travel experience, students will participate in im

mersive activities in order to fully experience other cultures. As a result, students will be able to learn more about topics discussed/practiced in school (ie: speaking Spanish in Spain, seeing the various countries and cultures they have read about, visiting important historical landmarks, etc.) while experiencing life outside of our community and possibly outside of their comfort zone; thus, allowing students to learn and grow in numerous ways. Students who choose to participate will be provided an opportunity to travel and experience other countries that they may otherwise not have the opportunity to. The groups anticipates taking a trip every 2-3 years; locations will be determined by student interest and availability. Our first trip will be to Italy and Spain in June 2018! We spent our last day in Ireland at the Blarney Castle ( and yes almost everyone kissed the Blarney stone), and then headed back to Dublin for a dinner and a show at the Belvidere Hotel.
Lots of fun for all and 3 kiddos repped Cascade well when they volunteered to go on stage and learn some dance moves.

The trip has been wonderful and the kiddos and parents on this trip were awesome!
