Dear Titan Families,

We have had a fantastic week on campus, and it has been a true joy having our Titans back in the classrooms! As we settle into the rhythm of the school year, we want to share a few important reminders and guidelines to help keep everything running smoothly and safely.

🚌 Bus Transportation & Student IDs
Please help us ensure your child is ready for the bus each morning:
ID Required: Students must have their ID to ride the bus. Please help your student check for their ID before leaving home and remind them to keep it in a safe place.
Replacements: If your student needs a new ID, they should see Ms. Teer in the front office.
Policy: All students receive two free IDs. Any subsequent replacement IDs will cost $5.
📲 For full details, please check out our complete ID policy posted on our page!

📚 Navigating Academic Lab & Lunch Schedules
We know middle school schedules can be a bit tricky! To clear up any confusion around Academic Lab and Lunch times, here is how to read your student's schedule:
ALA (Academic Lab A): Student goes to Academic Lab from 12:24–12:59 PM, then Lunch B from 1:03–1:33 PM.
ALB (Academic Lab B): Student goes to Lunch A from 12:24–12:54 PM, then Academic Lab from 12:58–1:33 PM.
Rule of Thumb: A student’s Academic Lab letter and Lunch letter are always opposites—ALA pairs with Lunch B, and ALB pairs with Lunch A.

🚗 Traffic Safety: Drop-Off & Pick-Up Guidelines
To keep our students, staff, and families safe, please adhere to the following traffic procedures every day:
Follow Traffic Rules: Obey all driving rules and directions given by staff members.
Keep Lanes Clear: Never block the Special Education bus lane or the fire lane.
Parking Guidelines: Use designated parking spots only. Do not park in the dirt, along the roadside, or in the ECLC lot.
Parent Loop: Stay in the middle lane and remain inside your vehicle. Please be patient—pick-up lines are always longest right at 4:15 PM!
Pedestrian Safety: We will have crossing guards stationed at the 4-way stop sign and the small parking lot entry. For everyone’s safety, students are not permitted to run across the road for pick-up.

⏰ End-of-Day Transportation Changes & Pick-Up
Dismissal Changes: If you need to make changes to how your student is getting home, please call the front office before 3:30 PM. This ensures our staff has adequate time to deliver the message to your student before the day ends.
Late Pick-Ups: Any students not picked up by 4:30 PM will be brought into the front office to wait safely with Ms. Teer, where they will have access to a phone and air-conditioned comfort.

Thank you so much for your continued partnership and support. We are looking forward to a safe, fun, and successful school year ahead!

Warm regards,
School Administration

Important Update for the 2026-2027 School Year: Arizona Healthy Schools Act

Starting this school year, public schools across Arizona are implementing new guidelines under the Arizona Healthy Schools Act (A.R.S. 15-242.02) to restrict ultra-processed foods on campus.

Here is what families, staff, and community members need to know during school hours (8:00AM - 4:15PM):

🏁 Where does this apply?
These guidelines cover all foods served, sold, or given to students during the regular school day. This includes classroom celebrations, birthday parties, snacks, fundraisers, and rewards.

⛔ What is no longer permitted?
Foods containing the 11 specific additives (like certain artificial dyes, titanium dioxide, and potassium bromate) - such as non-compliant cupcakes, pizza, candy, and sugary drinks - cannot be served or distributed at school.

✅ What is allowed?
All fresh fruits and vegetables.
Pure water (no added ingredients)
Compliant store-bought snacks (like SkinnyPop, Pirate's B***y, Cheez-It, That's It bars, GoGo SqueeZ, and more - check the flyer attached!)

Lunches and snacks brought from home for individual students are always permitted.

Take a look at the attached infographic for a quick visual guide and a list of compliant snack ideas!
