A common mistake made in Dummy training is going too fast or trying to look "flashy". Your movements should have purpose and hu ma. The dummy isn't made for "conditioning your arm toughness" this is an amateur take. The purpose of the dummy is to coordinate your hu ma footwork to deliver power on different lines and angles utilizing superior positioning on your opponent. Astute observation reveals that no dummy section starts with an offensive movement "attack". The dummy is not there to beat on.

It's absolutely critical you learn your footwork, shifting, stepping etc.. Distance management is a superpower.
