Advanced Math Tutors/Teachers in Cary

We are a 14-year old, highly respected educational organization with immediate openings for several experienced math tutor/teachers for students in 8 through 12 grades who are studying Common Core Math I, II, III, precalculus or calculus. You must be able to tutor in all aspects of Common Core Math I, II and III. We also need tutors for precalculus and calculus.
Successful applicants must have past tutoring/teaching experience.
This position requires a friendly, outgoing disposition; dependability, flexibility and punctuality; and the desire and ability to work patiently and creatively 1-on-1 with middle and high school age students.
Our teacher/tutors provide direct 1-on-1 differentiated instruction, with content and pace personalized for each student. All sessions are conducted in one of our quiet library centers located in Cary. You will NOT be asked to travel to the homes of students.
Our teacher/tutors should be available to help students at least 2 weekday evenings, starting no later than 5pm, and a few hours Saturday mornings. We can schedule your teaching sessions to accommodate your other work, teaching, family or class commitments. Our teachers usually work between 4 and 12 hours per week, depending on their availability. Our teacher/tutors have no preparation before or homework between tutoring sessions.
This is a part-time position with long-term, year-round potential offering competitive hourly compensation. We provide paid training in our tutoring system, extensive common core and traditional curricular materials, all supplies, etc. Our tutors have no out of pocket costs. We also pay employer F**A, Medicare, etc. (approx. $2/hour) that you would pay if you were working as an independent contractor. Our working conditions and pay scale are better than Sylvan, Mathnasium, and others.
