We ended out the month of May with another incredible day of training. Our focus: Kazan Ryu Iaijutsu (Jodan, Chudan and Gedan Kiri), Kumitachi Kenjutsu Kata, Jo Waza, and Ansatsu Ni Taisuru Bengo…🙏🏻

May has been an incredible month of exploration into the Kihon and fundamental review. I could not be prouder of my Bujutsu Family. Hard work, perseverance, and consistency have been alive within the Tenarashikan Dojo here in 2026…🙏🏻

This weekend at the Tenarashikan Dojo in Cary, NC we kicked off May with an incredible day of training. Our focus: Fundamentals of Kihon. Review of 9th Kyu, Hanbo Kata, and Hanbo Waza. It’s important to make sure your foundation is strong or your house will crumble…🙏🏻

This weekend at the Tenarashikan Dojo in Cary, NC we had an incredible day of Kazan Ryu Kempo. Our focus: Tekko Kata and Waza, Kazan Ryu Long Weiba Tao, and Tie ji Tao. The Tekko that have been chosen for our school are those created by David Osborne, Kyoshi of Yamakage Ryu. As practitioners of Yamakage Ryu, we are most honored to have the opportunity to train with these particular Tekko.

I know that the world is grieving as much as I am right now at the sudden loss of Chuck Norris. Chuck has been an inspiration for as long as I have been alive. His work both within the Martial Arts and in Film have achieved a respect that only a few in our lifetime could ever hope to achieve. My heart goes out to his family during this time, as as well as my prayers and gratitude. We have lost any national treasure today and an incredible human being…🙏🏻
