I hope 2026 is off to a great start for you.
The new year has always been exciting to me because it gives us a reset—a chance to start fresh. The challenges, the adversity, the injuries, the setbacks from last year? They’re behind us. You start the new year with a perfect score.
I wanted to take a moment to check in on your goals—because here’s something interesting:
If 100 people set a New Year’s goal, about 25 of them won’t make it through the first week.
Maybe they want to read more books, but their phone or computer keeps calling.
Maybe they want to eat healthier, but junk food keeps distracting them.
And by the time February rolls around, only about half are still going. That means another 25 people quit in just one month. So here we are at the end of January and half of those who set goals JAN1 have already forgotten about them.
The reason I’m telling you this isn’t to discourage you. In fact, no one will blame you for quitting—statistically, it’s common.
But if you believe you’re meant for more…
If you believe you’re not average…
How long do you think you could stay the course?
And if you didn’t set a goal yet—or if you struggled and already drifted away from it—we can do a soft reset right now. We’re only a month into the year.
Here’s the powerful part:
If you stay committed all the way through December, you’ll be in the top 9% of people worldwide who actually keep their resolution.
That’s pretty amazing.
It’s going to take commitment.
It’s going to take a plan.
And it’s going to take choosing the front seat, not the back seat, when it comes to your priorities.
But if you’re willing to put in the effort—and stay consistent over time—you’ll have proof that you truly are the exceptional person we already know you are.
Let me share one insight about goals.
Maybe your goal is to run a marathon by the end of the year—and you’ve never really run before. That’s okay. You make a plan. You fuel your body properly. You train. You work on yourself—piece by piece, step by step.
Eventually, the marathon becomes the dessert.
But the meal is who you’ve become along the way—the habits you’ve built, the discipline you’ve developed, the person you’ve transformed into. It stops being about a marathon and starts being about becoming a better version of yourself every single day.
So I hope this message inspires you today.
You’ll still have bad days. You’ll still have interruptions. That’s part of life.
But make your goals and dreams matter enough that you’re willing to stay the course until completion.
You’ll be glad you did.
