NACCE is a non-profit organization that creates economic vitality through community colleges. NACCE was founded in 2002. The organization held its inaugural conference in 2003 and has held annual national conferences each year since. It became a membership organization in early 2006. NACCE fosters economic development by serving as the hub for the dissemination and integration of knowledge and successful practices regarding entrepreneurship education and student business incubation. As a membership association, NACCE helps community colleges nationwide link their traditional role of workforce development with entrepreneurial development. The result is innovative programs and courses that advance economic growth and prosperity in the communities served by the colleges.

Remembering September 11, 2001

Twenty-five years later, September 11 remains a defining moment in our nation’s history, one that changed lives, families, and communities forever.

As we mark the 25th anniversary, we’re sharing personal reflections from members of our NACCE team. Some remember September 11 firsthand, while others have come to understand its significance through family stories, teachers, and history.
These reflections remind us that remembrance takes many forms. We honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders and heroes who answered the call, the families who continue to carry their loss, and the communities forever changed by that day.

May we continue to remember, to learn from history, and to carry forward the values of compassion, courage, resilience, and unity.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

🎓 Implementing the Inclusive Economic Mobility Framework — A Practitioner’s Workshop for Program Design

Led by Dr. Matt Connell, this hands-on session goes beyond theory and focuses on the practical work of designing and implementing equity-centered entrepreneurship programs.

Participants will work with real tools and templates covering:

🧭 A five-phase curriculum structure
🎯 Facilitation practices that support meaningful outcomes
