Ok we love Alanis and this song…but this would be a great example of supporting the voice with the wrong muscles. You can see here how so many different muscle groups and trying to help her with the higher pitches, as she’s tossing her head back, wiggling her legs, moving her shoulders….I always say our instincts are correct that we need more muscle, but let’s rely on the BIG GUNS of our abdominal muscles and relieve the poor neck, jaw, and shoulders who are working overtime!!

Singers are athletes! And I love this one. ❤️ She is a phenomenal light soprano voice that has maintained a wonderful and long career…look how she does it! What a great example for all of us.
