This afternoon we had the joy of celebrating Mrs. Pierce and an incredible career spent pouring into others. 💛💙

Colleagues and friends gathered to share stories, laughter, and a few well-earned tears as we honored her years of dedication and heart. The impact she’s had on our school community can’t be measured in numbers. It’s seen in the relationships she built, the confidence she nurtured, and the steady presence she’s been for so many.

Mrs. Pierce, thank you for the difference you’ve made every single day. You leave big shoes to fill, and an even bigger legacy. Wishing you a retirement filled with rest, joy, and everything you’ve put on hold while you cared for the rest of us. 💐

Speaking of ♥️ … February is Wake County Public School System Love the Bus Month, and this week FWES showed our amazing bus drivers just how much we appreciate them!

They are the first smile in the morning and the last goodbye in the afternoon, safely getting our students to and from school each day. We are so grateful for their dedication and care.

Welcome Dr. Tammie Sexton to FWES as a part time assistant principal! As the retired Western Area Superintendent she is joining our team for the month of February to assist with teacher observations and other preparation needs for the school to be ready for the new principal on March 2nd. She'll be at FWES 3 days a week! Thank you for helping me welcome her to our team!
