Wake County Public Schools has a new task force to promote student attendance. Kingswood Magnet Elementary has been welcoming students with music and high fives every morning, and has a lower absenteeism rate than the district.

📚✨ At the end of the school year, our students participated in Step Up Day, where they visited the next grade level, explored what they'll be learning, and got a glimpse of what to expect in the year ahead. It was a great way to build excitement and confidence for the transition to a new grade. We hope everyone is enjoying a fun, safe, and relaxing summer, and we look forward to seeing our students back soon! ☀️💙
