A few memories from our Spelling Bee. Winners, losers, pranks, and pandemonium. Glad you could Bee 🐝 with us.

“Goodbye…” 👋🐝

Just like at the end of the bee, it’s time for us to say goodbye. Thank you to everyone who came out to support The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Cary High School. Your laughter, applause, and love meant the world to our wonderfully quirky spellers—and the adults trying (mostly unsuccessfully) to keep things under control.

From the first nervous word to the final bell, you filled the room with the kind of joy that makes theater magical. As our favorite comfort counselor reminds us:

“My friend, you will be missed… but now go with dignity.”

You’ve been the best-looking audience we’ve had all day. Now go home, spell with patience and care… and try not to cry in front of your brother or embarrass your mother.

Make your exit with care — that is our prayer.
