St. Patrick's fun was afoot at The Kirk Children's Center today! And no one can go wrong with a magically delicious shamrock cookie. Good times!

The children at The Kirk Children's Center had a tooth-rific time when Miss Kelly from Cary Pediatric Dentistry came to visit their class. Miss Kelly is one of the Community Helpers who taught about taking good care of our teeth and gums. She is smart, fun, and such a good teacher. The kiddos learned a lot. It was FLOSS-ome! Thank you, Miss Kelly!

1. Have grace with yourself and everyone in your home. The difference of one hour has a big impact on growing bodies! ☀️
2. Adjust bedtimes and nap times for several days. Moving the times over the course of several days helps everyone gently get used to the change. ☀️
3. Get lots of morning sunlight. It helps us all feel more alert and awake and helps reset our body clocks. ☀️
4. Stick to your bedtime routine. Snuggles, songs, books, and baths all in the usual order signal our children's brains that it is time to sleep. ☀️
5. Refer back to #1 and be have grace with yourself and others. Longer days and the chance for more play time are on their way!☀️

Many thanks to Cary Police Department and Town of Cary, NC for the visit to our school today. The children met Officer Morgan who taught safety skills. He is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He also showed them his police car with the flashing lights, which the children loved! Officer Morgan is one of our guest Community Helpers, a Kirk Children's Center program that invites helpers in our neighborhoods to visit as a special guest.

Meet Ms.Brenda! She is the Kirk Children's Center Director Extraordinaire!
Brenda has been with the preschool for 34 years and her Super Power is loving children.
She is kind, fun, and always brings the high energy.
Brenda not only gives the kiddos the very best hugs, she gets to know each and every one of them so that she can help craft their early childhood experience.

Ms. Brenda has dedicated her career to building the Kirk Children's Center as one that offers every single child love, learning and a strong faith foundation.

All are invited to join us for Christmas Eve services at the Kirk. There is a preschool service at 10am, a family service at 5pm and a traditional service at 8pm.
