Audrey Dos lighting up the stage at Raleigh Burlesque’s Sweet 16 anniversary show, June 23, 2024 at the Lincoln Theatre. A Mamasita on a mission, Audrey channels Puerto Rican pride and New York fire with a background in dance and theater that smolders before erupting into pure joy. This is about so much more than pretty pictures.”

Photographer Katelyn Scott has spent years helping people feel beautiful in front of the camera — but Picture Perfect goes even deeper than that.

This workshop is about documenting the real version of yourself:
the softness and strength,
the confidence and vulnerability,
the body that has carried you through your entire life.

Join Katelyn Scott and the Raleigh School of Burlesque for a hands-on self-portrait workshop where you’ll learn how to take sexy, artistic, empowering photos of yourself using simple setups, natural light, mirrors, intentional posing, and the phone already in your hand.

We’ll cover:
• posing and body language
• lighting basics
• dramatic and flattering angles
• expression and storytelling
• creating sensual and authentic images
• how to feel less awkward on camera
• DIY solo photography tricks

You’ll be actively taking photos during class and experimenting in real time in a supportive environment full of encouragement, creativity, and confidence-building.

No modeling experience required.
All bodies, identities, ages, and aesthetics are welcome.

Being an artist is a delicate balance of confidence, doubt, comparison, and showing up anyway.
Some days you love it. Some days you side-eye it. All of it counts. ✨
Keep making the thing.
