Over the past few years, Gifted Stars has thoughtfully incorporated a Montessori-style approach into our learning environment. Our classrooms feature colorful, hands-on materials and meaningful opportunities for children to explore, practice independence, make choices, and learn at their own pace.
One of the most valuable parts of our approach is mixed-age learning. When children of different ages learn together, everyone benefits!

During today’s daily walking curriculum, one of our kindergarten students made an exciting discovery—a baby tortoise! The children were filled with joy and curiosity as they carefully observed this special little creature in nature.
Our walking curriculum offers so many benefits beyond physical exercise. It gives students opportunities to:
🌱 Explore and appreciate nature
🔍 Strengthen observation and critical-thinking skills
🚶🏽‍♀️ Build healthy movement habits

Today, our students enjoyed a special visit and presentation from the Cary Fire Department! The children learned about fire safety, explored the fire truck, saw firefighter equipment up close, and even tried on firefighter helmets. 👩🏽‍🚒🧑🏽‍🚒
This hands-on experience helped our students learn more about firefighters and the important role community helpers play in keeping us safe.
A huge thank-you to the Cary Fire Department for taking the time to educate, encourage, and create such a memorable experience for our students! ❤️💛
