This year for the first time, we offered our own writing competition called the Inkwell Writing Competition. We would like to thank all the participants for submitting their work. After careful thought, we have selected 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for each category. We are excited to announce them now.

This year, the Inkwell Writing Studio is excited to offer a new opportunity for young writers to improve their writing skills!
The Inkwell Writing Competition offers elementary and middle grade writers the chance to showcase their creativity and storytelling abilities. It invites young authors to refine their skills, receive valuable feedback, and compete with peers from across the nation.
In the competition, participants must submit a short story of less than 1000 words based on the theme: A whole new world. There will be 2 categories, one for rising 3rd-5th graders and one for rising 6th-8th graders. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for each category. We are excited to announce that sign-ups for the 2024 Inkwell Writing Workshop are now open! This year's workshop has been improved and enhanced from last year to provide an even better experience for young writers. It now offers two age group sessions, one for rising 3rd-5th graders and one for rising 6th-8th graders. It is no longer limited to just creative writing and poetry, but a wide range of genres including realistic fiction, personal narrative, humor, etc.
The Inkwell Writing Workshop is the perfect opportunity for young writers to explore their creativity and enhance their writing skills in an encouraging and dynamic environment. Our experienced instructors will lead students through diverse writing exercises to help each student discover and refine their unique voice and style. Participants will share their work with peers and receive valuable feedback. Additionally, they'll enjoy fun group activities, including writing games and story competitions. The workshop is free, requiring only a $50 deposit. Visit our website to apply.
