Important: Start Date Update

Davis Drive Elementary Families,

As we prepare to welcome you all back for another exciting school year, I’m writing to you with important updates on the first day of classes.

Due to recent repairs at our school, Aug. 24 will now be a teacher workday to give everyone the opportunity to be fully prepared to welcome our students.

This means there are some important schedule changes that impact our school community:

Tuesday, August 25

First day of school 1st-5th grade

Staggered Entry day for Kindergarten students with the last names starting with H to N

Wednesday, August 26

Staggered Entry day for Kindergarten students with the last names starting with O to Z

Thursday, August 27

Staggered Entry day for Kindergarten students with the last names A to G

Friday, August 28 | 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Meet the Teacher - Kindergarten students & families only

If you have any questions, please contact the school. I understand that this may create challenges for some families. We’re looking forward to everyone being back together for another wonderful year.

Happy National Principal's Day! Mrs. Fair always puts students first and truly believes that every student who walks through the doors of DDE is special and capable of achieving their goals. DDE is so lucky to have such a strong and caring leader!
