Finally, this past weekend our Track and Field Team traveled to compete in the IESA State Competition. We are proud to share that our 8th grade girls 4x200 relay team finished in 2nd place.

Our 8th grade boys team earned 3rd place overall, with strong individual performances including Leo Zavala finishing 6th in the 400m and Brandon Bays earning 2nd place in the discus.

In a historic moment for Cary Junior High, we brought home our first ever State Championships in both the 400m and the 4x400m relay. Congratulations to Ty Tenopir, our 400m state champion, and to the 8th grade boys 4x400m relay team consisting of Leo Zavala, Brandon Bays, Chris Hernas, and Ty Tenopir on their outstanding achievement.

This past Thursday and Friday, 179 students completed the 24 Hour Run. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and perseverance, especially their willingness to wake up during the late night and early morning hours to log their miles. A heartfelt thank you to all our parent volunteers and sponsors. Your support made this incredible event possible.

As we wrap up the school year, the Junior High has been full of activity and celebration. It began with a great band concert where our students performed exceptionally well. We are very proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our band students. Their growth and commitment were evident throughout the evening, and we are grateful for the efforts of both the students and their directors.

Congratulations to Creekside Middle School for winning the 8th Grade Fox Valley Conference Tournament.

As we begin to wrap up our winter sports season we wanted to congratulate our Girls Basketball teams. 8th Grade finished 7-4 and 3rd overall in the Fox Valley South Conference. Our 7th grade finished 7-4 overall and 2nd in the Fox Valley South Conference.

Our Wrestling team finished Fox Valley Conference 9-1 overall and Second in the regular Season. We have also qualified 11 wrestlers to compete at the sectional tournament this weekend. GOOD LUCK DRAGONS!
