Every Wednesday, Mrs. McNealy will be teaching the children ASL - American Sign Language. She, herself has experience and a vast knowledge due to her beautiful daughter, Skylar. Skye is 13yrs old and non-verbal. She is in middle school and has an ASL vocabulary of about 500 words, signing fluently for everything.
We’ve started this lesson two years ago, and the children absolutely love it. They are like sponges and soak up this new form of communicating with curiosity and excitement. Each week, they will learn a few new words in sign language, as well as reviewing. It’s a wonderful addition to our program!
