⭐️National Chapter Gold Rank⭐️

During the 98th Texas FFA State Convention, the Carthage FFA walked across the stage to receive our National Chapter award. For the 3rd year in a row we have received this award and have been ranked a gold chapter.

This award recognizes those FFA chapters that have excelled in leadership, community service, and student success through impactful programs and activities. Earning the Gold Rank places Carthage FFA among the top chapters in the nation.

We are proud of our members and thankful for the support of our school, families, alumni, and community. This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of students who continue to strive for excellence.

Day 2 of the Texas FFA State Convention ⚾️⚾️

Our Carthage FFA members had an awesome opportunity to attend a Texas Rangers game last night and make some great memories together!

The highlight of our night was watching one of our very own members, John Martinez, represent our FFA chapter as part of the FFA Chorus while singing the National Anthem before the game. We are so proud of their hard work, talent, and dedication!

It was a great night for our students and a good ending with the Rangers coming out with the win!

🐾🌟 Carthage FFA represented Bulldog Nation with excellence at the 98th Annual Texas FFA Convention in Fort Worth! 🌟🐾

Nineteen Carthage FFA members attended the annual convention, where eight students earned the prestigious Texas FFA Lone Star Degree—the highest degree awarded by the Texas FFA Association.

The Lone Star Degree recognizes students who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to agricultural education through classroom achievement, leadership, Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects, community service, and FFA involvement. Fewer than 5% of Texas FFA members earn this distinguished honor each year.

Day 1 of the 98th Annual Texas FFA State Convention, the Carthage FFA Chapter visited the SMU Campus and toured the George W Bush Presidential Center as part of our educational experience during FFA convention week.

Our students learned and experienced the George W. Bush Presidential Center at SMU through exhibits that brought history and his leadership to life. They explored a full-size replica of the Oval Office, learned about the events of September 11, 2001, explored the war on terror, and studied and analyzed major decisions from President George W. Bush’s time in office.

Our students also learned about No Child Left Behind and education reform, the AIDS relief program in Africa, life in the White House, and First Lady Laura Bush’s contributions in literacy, education, women’s health, and global advocacy. Interactive exhibits allowed our students to step into the role of the president and think through important decisions during major historical moments.

Summer Bulldog Welding Camp

On Monday, our students got the opportunity to tour Priefert Manufacturing at their headquarters in Mt. Pleasant. We’re thankful for them to give us a tour of their facility and talk about all the different industries they work with.
