New name! New students! Same great experiences!

Today some of our students were able to enjoy some of the fruits of their labor from our few watermelon vines we planted back in May. 🍉

Although it is still technically summer we are ready to help you get your Fall decor together with our annual Mum sale fundraiser, even better, all while supporting a Mississippi farm and our FFA Chapter! 🌼🌺💙💛

The past two days members of the Leake Central FFA Chapter have been recognized at State Convention for placing third in Poultry Evaluation Career Development Event contest, 2nd Place in Milk Quality (Missing-Brooklyn Jones), and last but not least, Emily Stewart as an American Degree candidate.

The American Degree is one of the highest honors and awards given to FFA members based on extensive SAE projects (Supervised Agricultural Experiences).

Let’s give these students a round of applause and congrats for their hard work and dedication. 👏🏼👏🏼💙💛🏆

Come see us this morning at the Walnut Grove Farmer’s Market now that the weather has cleared! We are selling our greenhouse plants, along with Mr. Foch Dicken’s famous honey! 🍯🌱🌺

Today FFA members, as well as Health Science and Educator Prep students from our CTC, were able to serve at Horses for Handicapped. It was a very rewarding experience for our students and we hope to be involved on an annual basis.

We want to thank everyone who came out and supported our annual plant sale yesterday. We still have a few in some things and plenty in others left, along with some more pots and things that will be ready in the coming days.

We will continue to sell from 11-2:15 Tues, Wed, Thursay of this coming week. We have plenty of tomatoes left!!

Due to the threat of rain (which has now cleared) mixed with low registration, we made the decision to postpone the car show side of our plant sale, but we will still be passing out the pre-ordered smoked meats and we will still be selling our plants 8-1 this Friday (Good Friday) at Leake Central High. Meat will arrive approximately 9-9:30.

We know everyone has had plants out for a while now, so we are pricing to sell!! 6 packs for $4!!

Students have been working hard this week to prepare for our annual plant sale and our first car show on Good Friday 8-1 (weather permitting, we will post alternate day if we reschedule). 🌱🪴

We will have pic-nic tables, bird houses, a few more shop projects for sale as well. 🔨🪚

If you pre-ordered smoked meat for Easter, it will be available for pickup that morning (most likely after 9).

Save the Date!

Our students have been working hard to prepare plants for our Good Friday Plant Sale! So “hold your horses” on planting and come see us!

This year we are collaborating with Cruisin’ Carthage to add a Car Show into the mix $10 entry.

In addition to that, we will have our Easter Smoked Meat fundraiser pickup that very same day. We will post a photo of the order form in the comments. Please see a member for orders.
