The TN Promise Scholarship opens the door to higher education by helping Tennessee students attend community college, a Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT), or another eligible institution with tuition and mandatory fees covered after other financial aid is applied. Beyond the financial support, TN Promise provides students with mentoring and guidance as they transition from high school to college. It gives students an opportunity to pursue a degree, certificate, or career credential while reducing the financial barriers that can stand between them and their future.
SCHS is proud to say 100% of our senior class have applied for this scholarship through the help of Mr. Gary Glover, our Advise TN College Advisor.
Additionally, SCHS Seniors will be participating in TN Direct Admissions which provides personalized letters mailed from Governor Bill Lee to Tennessee high school graduates offering proactive acceptance and financial aid estimates at participating Tennessee technical schools, colleges, and universities without requiring a traditional long-form application or application fee. Students should receive their Direct Admissions Letter in September.
