As a Smith County native, Dr. Ash came back home to lead our district following nearly 17 years as the founding principal of Central Magnet School, where he built a program that was recently named the #1 Public High School in the Nation by U.S. News & World Report. 🏆 #1 in the Nation!!!!!!🏆

In Guidance with Mrs. Savannah’s 1st grade class, students learned about the role of the school counselor 🥰🤍. The class compared the counselor’s role to the rabbit in the story "The Rabbit Listened" 🐰📖.

Just like the rabbit in the story, the school counselor listens, loves, helps, and stays by the students’ side 🤍✨️!
