The Carthage Independent School District Education Foundation and Alumni Association recently announced the 2026 inductees for the CISD Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame. They include Dr. Stephen Burnaman – Carthage High School Class of 1983, Sharon Roberson Jones – Carthage High School Class of 1983, and Gregory D. Ware – Carthage High School Class of 1971.
These honorees and their families will enjoy a day of festivities on Homecoming Friday, September 18, 2026. They will speak to the Carthage High School students at an assembly before the pep rally, and then they will be honored with a reception at the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Afterwards at the football game, they will be recognized and honored with a key to the city on the football field during Carthage Homecoming ceremonies at Bulldog Stadium. Everyone is invited to attend the reception, ball game, and homecoming activities.

The Carthage ISD Education Foundation was proud to honor and celebrate the Top Ten Graduates at our annual Academic Recognition Banquet last night.

These outstanding students have demonstrated incredible dedication, leadership, and academic excellence throughout their years at CISD. We are grateful for the opportunity to recognize their hard work and celebrate this special milestone with their families, teachers, and supporters.

The CISD Education Foundation is proud to present a check for $235,601.85 to CISD to fund 66 innovative classroom grants across the district!

These grants will provide new opportunities, creative learning experiences, and valuable resources that directly impact our students and teachers.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the Keith Steptoe Classic! Even though the rain may have cut our tournament short, it was still a fantastic time filled with great competition, energy, and community.
We truly appreciate everyone who participated, volunteered, and cheered us on throughout the event. Your support means a lot and is what makes this tournament so special each year.
We will not be playing next weekend, but we’re already looking forward to seeing everyone again next year for another great Classic!
