"My name is Kira Pruiett. I am the daughter of Madilyn Mangum and I'm in the eighth grade. This is my first year at Panola Charter School. I like to work at my own pace and get my work done faster than most schools allow students to.

Before coming to Charter, I felt I was being held back from what I was capable of accomplishing. I knew that I could challenge myself more if I had the opportunity. The opportunity here is that I can begin college at Panola next year as a freshman!

I want to continue pushing myself, reaching my goals, and making the most of the opportunities I have. I hope to work in the medical field when I am older."

Meet one of our newest students as well as our first Student of the Month, Stetson Patterson. His parents are Gregg and Audra Lazarine and he comes to us form Brookeland, Texas. Stetson is all hat and a fistful of welding rods as he is attending Panola to obtain his welding certificate. He plans to seek competitive employment in the oilfield as soon as he graduates.

The faculty and staff have come to rely on his unselfish time, effort, and support to help us protect Our most valuable assets.

The students always enjoy his visits and pay attention when he speaks. He can immediately establish a rapport and a professional relationship with his audience.
