Take a look at the incredible wigwams Mrs. Cimarello's 7th and 8th graders built for their Social Studies project!

Working as teams, students collected materials from nature and transformed them into these impressive creations. Experiences like these make learning more meaningful by allowing students to connect classroom lessons with hands-on exploration. Great job, everyone!

We are so grateful to the Carthage Fire Department NY for visiting our students today and taking the time to teach valuable fire safety lessons. Students learned about preventing fires, responding appropriately in an emergency, and the important role firefighters play in keeping our community safe.

The visit was also an exciting hands-on experience! Students had the opportunity to see a beautiful fire engine up close, explore some of the equipment firefighters use, sit in the cab, and even try on some of the gear.

What a fun and memorable way to reinforce these important safety lessons. Thank you, Carthage Fire Company, for helping our students learn how to stay safe while giving them an experience they won't soon forget!

Thank you to Father Jaya and Sister Suanne for making our St. Francis Feast Day- Blessing of the Animals extra special!

Students dressed in their Sunday best to celebrate Mass and honor St. Francis, the patron saint of animals. They brought their favorite stuffed animals to receive a special blessing, with each stuffie representing a beloved at home.

We were so grateful for Father Jaya and Sister Suanne's visit to our classrooms and for helping our students celebrate this beautiful tradition. It was a meaningful reminder of God's love for all creation and the importance of caring for every living thing.

Mrs. Workman's preschoolers spent the week exploring the senses of taste and touch! They discovered different textures and tasted foods that were sweet, salty, sour, and bitter. The sour limes were a classroom favorite, resulting in some hilarious sour faces! Hands-on sensory experiences are a wonderful way to learn and grow in preschool.

🌟 SAINTS IN SERVICE: SERVING OTHERS, SHARING CHRIST’S LOVE 🌟

This year at Augustinian Academy, we are excited to begin a school-wide Saints in Service project centered around one simple but powerful message:

❤️ “Do all that you do with LOVE.” -St. Thérèse of Lisieux

Throughout the school year, our students will be encouraged to recognize that service doesn’t have to be something big. Small acts of kindness, generosity, compassion, and love can make a BIG difference!

Our “jar” is already beginning to fill with examples of kindness and service from our students and staff. Each apple represents an act of service (helping someone, showing kindness, giving, sharing, encouraging, or simply making someone’s day a little brighter).

Each month will have a special focus with our ultimate goal to:
✨ Grow in faith and compassion
✨ Serve our school, parish, and community
✨ Make a positive impact every day
✨ Be the hands and feet of Jesus

As the year goes on, we hope to see our jar overflow with hundreds of acts of service and kindness!
