A special thank you to Mrs. Garner for creating meaningful work-based learning experiences for middle school students that connect classroom learning to real-world careers and opportunities.

We also extend our appreciation to Paul Steel from the Sandhills Community College Information Technology Department and Josiah Garges, Branch Manager at First Bank in Robbins, for investing their time, knowledge, and expertise into our students’ learning experiences.

Today we had an amazing time celebrating FunFest at Sandhills Community College! 🎉

This event was a powerful partnership between Sandhills Community College and Moore County Schools’ Career & Technical Education Department, bringing our community together in such a meaningful way.

In honor of the Month of the Military Child, we proudly wore purple and participated in “Purple Up!” 💜 to recognize and celebrate the strength, resilience, and sacrifice of our military-connected students and their families.

Moore County Schools is proud to be a military-friendly, Purple Star District, and we remain committed to supporting and uplifting the families who serve our nation every day.

This year’s Annual Middle School Career Pathway Fair gave 8th graders a chance to step onto campus, hear inspiring messages from staff and students, and explore the many opportunities waiting for them at Union Pines. Students were divided into smaller groups, where they heard directly from counselors and principals while learning more about academic programs, career pathways, clubs, and extracurriculars—there’s something for every passion and interest.
