Board Meeting regarding the FY27 General Purpose 141 Budget on
Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. This meeting will be at the
Smith County Board of Education, 126 S.C.M.S. Lane, Carthage,
Tennessee.

Tough budget seasons and difficult discussions come and go, but having a proven, top-tier educator leading our district gives Smith County an incredibly bright future. Dr. Ash works tirelessly every day for our students, teachers, and staff, and Smith County is lucky to have him!

As students settle into the new school year, Highpoint Health - Riverview is proud to support the Smith County School System with donated first aid kits and medical supplies. 📚❤️

These kits are distributed to schools in the county, helping teachers and staff respond to minor injuries and health needs when a school nurse is not immediately available.

We are wishing all Smith County students, educators, and staff a safe and successful school year!
