Agricultural Education in Action! 💚💛

Today, our FFA members put skills developed through agricultural education and agricultural mechanics into practice.

Using shop equipment to properly check and air a tire may seem like a simple task, but it reinforces skills that are important in agricultural mechanics, including equipment safety, proper tool use, measurement, basic maintenance, and problem solving.

Modern agriculture goes far beyond crops and livestock. It also includes the mechanical, technical, and equipment related skills needed to operate and maintain the machinery that keeps the agricultural industry moving.

This is what hands-on agricultural education looks like: learning the skill, understanding its purpose, and knowing how to apply it in the real world.

Senior Parent Night was a SUCCESS!

Thank you to all of our senior parents and students who joined us this evening. We hope you left feeling informed, prepared, and excited about what’s ahead for the Class of 2027!

A special thank you to Jostens, Mann Barber, Goal Line CDL Training, East Central Community College, and the U.S. Army National Guard for taking the time to share valuable information and opportunities with our seniors and their families.

And a BIG thank you to our Senior Sponsors for all of the planning and hard work that went into making tonight a success.

We’re looking forward to a great senior year!

This afternoon was epic! We celebrated the first volleyball game for Leake High School!

Our Lady Gators took the court against Cleveland Central, and we would like to thank everyone who came out to support our students. A special thank you to our teachers and staff who showed up this evening! Your presence and support mean so much to our students!

Shoutout to the LHS Band for keeping the energy going and our LHS Cheerleaders for bringing the Gator spirit!

It was great seeing our school and community come together to support our Lady Gators. This is what One Team. One Dream. looks like!

To ensure the safety of our students, staff, and families, Leake High School will implement the following traffic pattern during student arrival and dismissal. This traffic flow will be in effect Monday through Friday from 7:30–8:00 a.m. and 2:50–3:15 p.m.

Day 2 of Professional Development!

Today, our Leake High staff learned, connected, and grew together! Dr. R.L. Mack led us in team building, Mr. Jeremy Stewart shared important information on special populations, Mrs. Jackie Ward provided guidance on supporting EL students, and Mrs. LeFlore presented on su***de prevention.

We learn together, train together, eat together, and support one another. That’s family.

Today was a great first day back with our faculty and staff at Leake High School!

The day was spent preparing for the school year by reviewing important policies and procedures, discussing expectations, and laying the foundation for a successful year. As we begin this new chapter, our focus remains on creating the best possible experience for every student who walks through our doors.

I enjoyed having everyone back together and look forward to all that we will accomplish this year.
