Our AP Government students had a great day at Keys to the Community, sponsored by the Leake County Extension Service and led by Vicki Ganaan!

Judge Cynthia Brewer, along with local attorneys, organized a mock trial where our students had the opportunity to serve as jurors and get a firsthand look at how the court system works.

Students also participated in a mock voting experience and had the chance to hear from several county and city officials about their roles and the services they provide to our community.

The day was capped off with a sponsored lunch at MA’s Pizza!

A special thank you to our AP Government teacher, Mrs. Jessica Dickens, for making sure our students had the opportunity to be a part of this experience. We appreciate her for finding ways to extend learning beyond the classroom and expose our students to meaningful experiences in the community.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this a great day for our Gators!

What a GREAT evening!

Our 2026 Leake High School Homecoming Parade was a huge success, and we cannot thank everyone enough for showing up and showing OUT for our Gators! Seeing so many people lining the streets, cheering, waving, and supporting our students made today truly special.

A huge THANK YOU to the City of Carthage and the Town of Walnut Grove for showing so much love and support to Leake High School. We appreciate our communities coming together to make this such a great experience for our students.

And a special thank you to the Canton High School Band for joining us! You brought the energy and helped make our parade even better!

To our families, staff, students, community members, and everyone who had a hand in making today possible….THANK YOU!

And of course, our beautiful Homecoming Court! You ladies looked amazing and represented Leake High School so well. We are proud of each and every one of you!

Today was more than just a parade. It was our communities coming together to celebrate our students and our school.

It’s GREAT to be a GATOR!

Our seniors did it again! Another successful college tour!

Today, our seniors had the opportunity to visit East Central Community College and get an up-close look at college life, explore the campus, and learn more about the opportunities available after high school.

A special thank you to our senior sponsor for taking the time to make sure our seniors are getting these experiences and seeing firsthand what their next chapter could look like.

We would also like to thank East Central Community College for welcoming our seniors and taking the time to show them around campus and share all that ECCC has to offer. We truly appreciate the hospitality!

We want our seniors to see the possibilities, explore their options, and know that there is a world of opportunity waiting for them after graduation.

Keep exploring, Class of 2027!

Homecoming Week continues at LHS!

Today was Dress as Your Favorite Movie Star or Music Legend Day, and our Gators did NOT disappoint! From our students to our teachers, they understood the assignment and showed up ready!

I love seeing everyone having fun, being creative, and showing their Gator spirit as we celebrate our first Homecoming Week at Leake High School!

And we’re just getting started!
