🚦💚 GO… FREEZE! ❤️🛑

Today, our little learners had fun playing a toddler-friendly version of *Red Light, Green Light*! Instead of red and green lights, we used simple “GO” and “FREEZE” commands to make the game age-appropriate and fun for everyone!

While having fun, the kiddos were also practicing important skills like listening, following directions, self-control, coordination, and gross motor development.They worked on moving their bodies when it was time to GO and stopping when they heard FREEZE! 🧠✨

Who knew learning to listen and follow directions could be so much fun? We love turning simple games into meaningful learning opportunities at Mighty Sprouts! 🌱💚

The kids didn't even need instructions for this one. They knew exactly what to do.

🧙‍♀️🫧 A Little Magic in Our Art Today! 🫧🧙‍♀️

Our little artists had fun creating bubbling cauldrons. 🎨🖤 We used toilet paper rolls to stamp bubble shapes coming out of our cauldrons, giving them that fun, fizzy, bubbling effect.

For an extra bit of magic, we mixed dish soap with our paint to help create the look of bubbly foam! 🫧✨

It was a fun way to explore process art, colors, shapes, and textures while getting into the Halloween spirit! 🎃🧪

Who knew a toilet paper roll could make such magical bubbles? 😍

🌽 Sensory Bin Fun at Mighty Sprouts! 🌽

Today our kiddos had a little fall fun exploring a corn sensory bin! 🍂🤎

Sensory play is such a great way for little ones to learn through hands-on exploration. As they scooped, poured, grabbed, and searched through the corn, they were working on their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, sensory awareness, and problem-solving skills—all while having fun! 👐✨

We love finding simple, inexpensive ways to turn everyday materials into meaningful learning experiences. And of course, a little mess is part of the fun! 😄🌽

At Mighty Sprouts, learning happens through play! 💛

If you’d like to try this activity at home, please remember to provide close adult supervision at all times! I had an assistant today, so the kiddos were monitored closely. I'm so proud of them for listening. No one tried to put corn in their mouths. One day I hope we can afford a Tough Tray, but for now, these dollar tree tubs work just fine! ✨

✏️💛 Name Recognition & Letter Practice! 💛✏️

Earlier this week, we practiced recognizing our written names and worked on writing the first letter of our names using our dry erase boards! 📝✨

We’re working on those early writing skills, letter recognition, name recognition, and building confidence with every attempt. Sometimes those little moments of progress are the biggest accomplishments! 🥰

And we have to give a HUGE shoutout to one of our kiddos who made an amazing accomplishment this weekend — she wrote the letter A ALL BY HERSELF! 🎉👏

We are so proud of her! Watching little ones gain confidence and realize, “I can do it!” is one of the best parts of what we do. ❤️

When all the kids leave for the day, that doesn’t mean my work is done! ❤️

Once the last little one heads home, it’s time to reset everything for another day. 🧼✨

🧸 Disinfecting ALL the toys
🧹 Sweeping and mopping all the floors
🧺 Washing blankets and daycare linens
🍎 Planning meals and snacks for the week
🎨 Planning new activities and learning experiences

There’s a lot of work that happens behind the scenes that families don’t always see. Being a daycare provider isn’t just about caring for children during the day — it’s also about making sure they come back to a clean, safe, welcoming, and fun environment every morning. 🏡💕

And honestly… once everything is finally done, I’m ready for bed! 😂❤️

🌧️🏕️Rainy Day Camping at Mighty Sprouts!🏕️🌧️

Rainy days don’t have to slow down the fun! Today we brought the camping indoors with cozy tents, yummy popcorn, and our very own pretend “campfires.” 🔥🍿

The kids are having so much fun pretending they’re camping while staying warm and dry! And later, we’re going to bust out the flashlights 🔦 and make **shadow puppets** on the tent walls.

Sometimes the best adventures happen right here at home! ❤️🌧️
