Teachers have been preparing their hearts and minds to welcome students at Christus Classical for our second year. Teacher Cultivation this week includes devotionals, practicums on lesson planning, classroom management, and faculty book discussions on our summer reading selections, The Good Teacher, and The Peacemaker. Snacks were had, tears and laughter were falling freely, and fellowship over our shared calling brought joy to our hearts.

We’ve got the OG Broadview Country Club chairs cleaned, glued, and reupholstered by L&L Upholstery for our students and families to use! We’ve had Open Door Baptist Church do some amazing cleanup and demo work, and Boyscout Troup 9 from Carthage helped us with our landscaping! A huge thank you to Brandon Scott Landscaping and Excavation for his landscaping prep and mulch drop! Things are starting to shape up at Christus Classical School!

There is so much to be thankful for here at the school this week! We have had Vision Carthage help us w**d and landscape, students painting and cleaning, and Crosslines Ministries picking up donations. That’s not all, we have more volunteers tomorrow and Saturday! We are so grateful to a good God who provides for our needs and brings our community together!

We have four individual classes available for homeschool families this year at our new campus in Carthage. Art, Music, Latin, and HS Geometry are open for anyone in our community who would like to sing, create, learn a new and very old language, or take a great math class together!
--Ages 5-18 for art and music, ages 8-13 for Latin, and HS Geometry is open to ages 14-18 years old.
--all classes are $250 a semester
--our school offers a classical, Christian education

Many have asked us about a 5 day grammar school… We have it! Now that we have our own space and extra faculty our grammar school flex program offers two additional days on campus to help students and families in our area! Give us a call and see how Christus Classical School can help your family build wise and virtuous children who desire God’s glory.

We have new options this year for families!

Grades K-4

Monday, Wednesday, Friday Core Program

Our core program provides full-time instruction and completion of the grammar school grade in three days a week. Parents are required to do a small amount of reading, recitation, and flashcards at home with their child on Tuesday and Thursday.

Tuesday/Thursday Flex Program

Our Flex Program allows parents who prefer a 5-day week for their grammar school child to receive enrichment in music, bible, life skills, literature, reading intervention, physical activity, and natural science.

We decided to get to work on ripping off the old mauvey brown corduroy wall cloth in our “library” today so that we could start putting up wood paneling and book shelves. Guess what we found?! It was meant to be!
We can’t wait for this room to become a cozy library for our students to read and study in!
