Carthage High School Bulldog Belles Drill Team This page is for informative reasons and enjoyment purposes of the past and current Bulldog Belles! Mrs. The current line is under direction of Emily Roberson.

The Bulldog Belles Drill Team began performing August of 2013 under the direction of Roberta Collinsworth. Collinsworth directed the Belles organization for 4 years. Our former directors Tina Marion, Angela Lucas and Amber Cheatwood served as directors for 2017-2019. Members attend drill team class at CHS with additional 6:00 am practice Tuesday and Thursday mornings during the Fall. The Bulldog

Belles are involved with community events such as: Chamber of Commerce Mom and Me Quilts Tea Party, the Texas Music Hall of Fame John Ritter Showcase, Out of the Darkness Walk for Su***de Prevention, Breakfast with Santa, The Oil and Gas Blast, Potlatch, Briarcliff Adopt-A-Resident in honor of National Senior Citizens Day and Halloween on the Square. The Bulldog Belles also participate in drill team competitions and showcase a Spring Show annually. The Bulldog Belles standards are to uphold class, order and sisterhood.

Black History Month stands for learning, honoring and remembering contributions of the black culture.

We dance to learn. We dance to honor. We dance to express ourselves in styles that formed from African roots. We use lyrics from black experiences. Rhythms, style, expression— formed from the emotions black people released. We owe recognition to the black culture that embodied dance and music through the pursuit of racial justice.
