Hey people and friends! Tomorrow at North Moore at 7pm, Union Pines has 6 six students performing in a 24 hour theatre festival. It’s an amazing event where student playwrights get 4 hrs to write a play, then student directors cast and block groups of student actors in those plays, and then it’s performed; and it all happens in only 24 hrs!! All the proceeds will go to renting lights for NCTC this year at North Moore. If you are free for 45 minutes at 7pm tomorrow PLEASE think about coming out to support ❤️❤️ Tickets are only $7. Tell your friends and peeps!

On Tuesday Nov 15th at 6pm in the Pinecrest Auditorium, ALL three Moore County High Schools will present their NCTC one act plays. Proceeds from this event will be split between UP and NMHS to help cover the cost of travel for states. We will also be hosting a silent auction during the performances! A personal note from Ms.Scott:

As many of you may know or have seen I sadly will not be at Union Pines next year.Sometimes life doesn’t go as planned and due to complications I will have to say goodbye to my UP family. I just want to say thank you to everyone for making my time at Union Pines so special. My students mean the world to me and knowing I won’t be seeing them next year has been pretty heartbreaking. Being a first year teacher is never easy but they always found a way to make me smile. They’re worth the long hours, the tears, and all of the stress. Directing and choreographing the musical this year was definitely a challenge but I couldn’t be prouder of everyone and more thankful of the support given.
To my students, above all remember to communicate 😁 and know that it’s going to be okay. I believe in all of you, I love you, and I hope you show your next teacher just as much kindness as you gave me. Thank you for giving me your trust and love. I I’m going to miss you guys, more than you could ever know. Sending all my love and big big hugs.

We also wanted to share our first ever Braggy Awards (named after Viking god of a Theatre!)
Introduced a fun new tradition this year of UP Stages version of the Tony’s along with some fun categories (Most Likely to Save the Show From a Disaster, Show Stopper, Most Supportive, etc). Thank you to our amazing cast and crew here at UP for such a fun night!

Wanted to share something special from the other. We were so excited to have a staggering 17 new students inducted into our Thespian Honor Society. Students enjoyed amazing food (shout out to Mama Jenny), fun, and friendship as they also said goodbye to 10 of our seniors. Such an emotional night. Congratulations to all our Thespians and sending love to all our seniors!
