Carterville, IL 62918 Agape Christian High School was born our of that idea.

In 2006, leaders of three Christian Southern Illinois schools decided that a regional Christian high school would be spiritually and educationally beneficial to the area high school students. To that end, many area people of faith have given their time labor, materials, and money to realize this vision. Today, Agape is led by a six member School Board and Superintendent Seth Knox. In eight years, students have come from 85 churches in various Christian denominations.

There’s no better way to start the school day.

Before classes begin and the work of the day gets underway, our students have an opportunity to come together in song and prayer.

It’s just a normal morning here at Agape, but these are the moments that make our school so special. We’re thankful for another day together and another opportunity to keep Christ at the center of everything we do.

What a first couple weeks it has been! Students came together for group prayer, gave back through a volunteer outing, and our seniors shared a sunrise breakfast as a school family. These are the moments that bring a real community feel back into the school day, and the smiles in these photos say it all. We are just getting started.

Our Seniors had their 1st Volunteerism outing today! They helped distribute food to 325 families in our local communities today at Whiteash Freewill Baptist Church. Great Job Seniors!

Great opening day at Agape! Our students started off the day going to each class and meeting their teachers and then we went to Camp Jericho and played games and ate pizza and then we we finished the day with a Worship Service and a time of prayer, “Committing this year to the Lord” We are looking forward to a great year!

Freshman Orientation kicks things off on August 5th, followed by Sophomore, Junior and Senior Orientation on August 6th, and we welcome all students back for the first day of school on August 7th. Save this post so you don't miss a date!

Agape Christian High School is taking an exciting step forward, and we are inviting our community to be part of it. We are working to purchase property to grow our campus. It is one more piece of our vision to grow what we can offer our students.

So far, our Agape family has generously given $40,000 toward our $56,000 goal. We are asking friends, families, alumni, and supporters to help us close the gap and make this next step possible.
