Attention Volunteers: If you volunteered to help with props this season there will be a prop meeting this Thursday at 4:30 at the High School. During Thursday night’s practice the Pride was taking care of business. They reviewed the drill for their second song and learned all of the drill for the third song. Everyone was focused and ready. Thursday night’s standout marcher was Liam Watts. The section of the night was the flute section, represented by Caydence Walton. Next Friday night we get to see all of their hard work in action. Can’t wait!

A BIG SHOUTOUT to the volunteers that helped hang the pole signs this morning. Thank you! If you ordered new signs from Silkworm we’ll make sure they get up as soon as they are received.

Thursday night parking lot practice was a success. Tonight’s standout marcher was Kade Waldron and outstanding section was the Drumline. The Pride has now played and marched to the second song of the show. A couple more practices and they’ll know it like the back of their hand.

We need volunteers to help the Band Boosters hang pole signs this coming Saturday, August 22 at 8:00 AM. We will meet in the High School Parking lot. If you have a 6 foot ladder it would be helpful but not necessary. Also, bringing a fully charged power drill would be helpful. We will be hanging the existing signs that are currently being stored in the band room. We will hang the new ones once they are received from Silkworm. If you can volunteer please either reply to this post, send a message through Facebook Messenger or text 618-534-5434 with your name and that you will be there to help.

2026 Meet the Lions introduced this year’s Pride to the community. They received a big round of applause after playing the National Anthem and the School Song. It was hot but after weeks of conditioning and long hours of practice The Pride was ready. We look forward to seeing everyone throughout the fall. Go Lions!!!!🦁
