We've had a busy couple of days! We've had workouts and made scarecrows and went to Calhoun to watch our Hickory Log Personal Care Home friends win another softball game!

Now we are gearing up for an energetic day that includes our favorite, cardio drumming!

We had Mike from Anglers Unlimited and his wife Lori come visit us yesterday and talk about fishing and habit restoration. We learned so much and even had a chance to set up our own fishing habitat with their simulation station.

We are grateful for them for coming out and talking to us! Thank you to our friend Catherine Conner for inviting them out!

What do you do before you start working with food?

How do you end a great week and make it even better? Make a butternut squash soup where EVERYONE got to participate! From helping saute the onions and garlic, to adding the ingredients--all our participants helped make the soup! Of course, we started with the first task- washing our darn hands ✋️ what a great day!

Some of our friends had fun with their artistic side today. They drew SpongeBob and Stitch and did a great job! Look at those smiles!

Some of our individuals have been working on diamond art projects. These have been so fun while being purposeful!

These projects help with fine motor skills, visual scanning, motor planning, sequencing, and gives a boost of dopamine when sections and projects are finished! Plus, they are just fun! They will have a fun and functional piece of art to display at home when they are done.

We are so proud of them for all their hard work on these!

We took a little roadtrip to Calhoun today to cheer on our friends from Hickory Log Personal Care Home and the Bartow Braves. We didn't get a picture with any of them, but we did get one with the other team's mascot.

We can't wait until we can play, too!
