Our Homecoming Dance refreshment team kept our students well fed all night long! ❤️🤍💙

We are so grateful to Fleurette Fitch and her entire refreshment team for coordinating everything from pizza and chicken nuggets to the perfectly themed desserts and treats that tied right into our All American Tradition theme.

We also appreciate everyone who donated funds to make the refreshments possible, along with those who donated special sweet treats. And of course, thank you to all of the volunteers who spent the evening keeping the tables stocked, the drinks cold, and the refreshments coming throughout the night.

Fleurette and team, you did an incredible job taking care of our students and making the refreshments another special part of Homecoming 2026! 💜💛

A very special Homecoming thank you to Beth Archer and Gretchen Denham! 💜💛

These two poured so much time, creativity, and hard work into transforming the Storm Center for our Homecoming Dance. Along with our SGA students, they brought our vision to life, down to the smallest details. And a special thank you to William Archer for coming to our rescue and helping us get that final lift on the chandelier!

Gretchen also created all of the beautiful bouquets for our Homecoming Court. 💐

Beth serves as our PTC Vice President and a Class Parent Representative, while Gretchen serves as a Class Parent Representative and chairs our PTC Homecoming Decorating Committee.

So many long hours and behind-the-scenes efforts went into making everything beautiful. We are incredibly grateful for all that Beth and Gretchen give to CHS and for helping make Homecoming so special for our students! 💜💛

A big THANK YOU to Dawn Tummins with The Legacy Group for her generous $250 donation to help provide meals and snacks for our Class of 2030 students during Homecoming float building!

Keeping a group of freshmen fed through several long days of building is no small task, and support like this makes such a difference. We are so thankful for Dawn’s generosity and for community members who are willing to invest in our students and their Homecoming experience.

Thank you, Dawn, for supporting CHS and the Class of 2030! 💜💛

A huge THANK YOU to Carl Boyd Post 42 American Legion for once again opening their doors to Cartersville High School and our PTC during Homecoming!

For the third year, the American Legion has generously allowed us to take over their space for an entire week to build our class floats. And when we say take over, we mean inside, outside, students, parents, trailers, lumber, paint, glitter, and all the Homecoming craziness!

Their location could not be more perfect for us. It gives our students a safe, convenient place within walking distance of CHS, plenty of room to work and park, and indoor space when the weather doesn’t cooperate.

This year, we were also fortunate to have two American Legion members serve as float judges, making their involvement in our Homecoming tradition even more special.

We are incredibly grateful for their continued generosity and for the way they welcome and support our students year after year. Community partnerships like this make so much of what we do possible.

Thank you, Carl Boyd Post 42, for being such a wonderful friend to CHS! 💜💛

A huge thank you to Templeton’s Mobile Detail and John Templeton for jumping in to help us after Homecoming float building! John generously donated his time Saturday morning to pressure wash a few paint mishaps at the American Legion.

Pressure washing may not be his typical service, but when the call for help went out, he didn’t hesitate. We are so grateful for his time and willingness to help our students and school community!

And if you’re looking for a great mobile car detail, give John a shout. He does a fantastic job!

Thank you, John! We appreciate you! 💜💛

THANK YOU FROM CHS SGA 💜💛

We may be the ones in the picture, but Homecoming 2026 took a whole lot more people than just us.

To our PTC Board and PTC moms, parent volunteers and tool dads, community sponsors, dance decorating duo and refreshment team, classmates, our own parents, teachers, coaches, judges, truck drivers, trailer owners, the American Legion, and everyone else who helped us along the way, THANK YOU!

Thank you for shopping, feeding us, making snack runs, helping with T-shirts, posters and banners, decorating the dance, hanging chandeliers and lights, signing permission slips, letting us out of class, helping spread the word, cutting wood, pulling trailers and floats, hauling trash, cleaning up glitter, chaperoning float building, and doing a hundred other little things that most people never saw.

Homecoming is a five day event, but there are weeks of work behind it. From Spirit Week and float building to the parade, Homecoming Court and halftime presentation, and the dance, there are so many moving pieces and so many people who help make it all happen.

Whether you gave your time, donated or loaned something, fed us, drove something, built something, cleaned something, answered a question, or simply asked “What do you need?” please know how much we appreciate you.

It truly takes a village, and we are so thankful for ours.

Your 2026–2027 CHS SGA Officers 💜💛
