Hello everyone. Let me reintroduce myself. I am Shamika Gary, affectionately known as Ms. Mika by my precious little ones. I have the privilege of running an in-home daycare, where love, care, and learning thrive. My husband and I, along with my mother-in-love, form a dedicated team, committed to providing a nurturing environment for your children. We are In His Hands Care and Learning. Many parents ask, how long have I been on this journey? Well, let me share my story with you. Growing up, I had the opportunity to assist my mother with her in-home daycare, where I discovered my passion for childcare. I began babysitting at the tender age of 15, under my mother's guidance, and my first client was the lovely Mrs. Cathy Potter. I also had the privilege of serving in our church nursery during that time. After graduating high school, I pursued a career in the medical field, where I spent over 20 years, primarily working in pediatrics. However, life had other plans, and my husband's health required my attention. It was during this time that I rediscovered my passion for childcare, and with the encouragement of my family, In His Hands Care and Learning was born. So, you see, I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to serve children and families for many years, both directly and indirectly. My heart's desire is to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for your little ones, while you are at work or need a moment to recharge. Trust me, I understand the challenges of life, and the importance of having a support system. You can rest assured that your child is in capable and loving hands. Yes, I am open and waiting with open arms to love and care for you and your precious little one.
