✨ FRIDAY REMINDER: The work we do is about so much more than nursing care. ❤️

Behind every shift is a child who deserves to feel safe, a parent who deserves to breathe a little easier, and a nurse who shows up with compassion, patience, and a whole lot of heart. 🫶

This week, our team has once again reminded me why I’m so proud of what we’ve built at Unique Pediatric Hearts.

We get to witness the little victories.
The hard days.
The smiles.
The milestones.
The moments that most people never get to see. ❤️

And to all of our families, nurses, and supporters who continue to trust us, encourage us, recommend us, and cheer us on — THANK YOU.

If you’re new to our page, welcome! 👋
We’d love for you to follow along and see the heart behind pediatric home health. 💗

Tell us below: What is one little victory you’re celebrating this week? ⬇️

And if you know a family who could use a little extra support, share this post with them. You never know whose life you might touch. 🩷

Look at his Smile! Now that is a win to share! Please share a moment with us.

The little moments mean SO much. ❤️

One of my favorite parts of running Unique Pediatric Hearts is receiving these photos from our nurses and families. 🥹

Sometimes it’s a picture of a child smiling, playing, celebrating a milestone, enjoying an ordinary day, or simply being loved and cared for.

To someone else, it may just look like a picture.

To us, it represents trust, compassion, consistency, and the incredible relationships our nurses build with the children and families we serve. ❤️

These are the moments that remind me why I started this company in the first place.

Every child we serve matters. Every family matters. Every nurse who shows up with patience, kindness, and dedication matters.

I am incredibly grateful for the families who trust us to be a small part of their child’s journey and for our nurses who continue to show up and make a difference every single day.

These pictures are more than memories. They are little reminders of the impact we get to make. 🥰

Thank you to some of our families and nurses for allowing our office to share in these special moments. ❤️

💙 Back-to-School Reminder: Your Child’s Support Team Matters 💙

As families prepare for a new school year, it’s important to remember that every child learns, communicates, and grows in their own unique way. For children with special needs, having the right support system can make a tremendous difference.

Here are a few helpful reminders for parents:

📚 Stay organized: Keep copies of medical records, evaluations, IEPs, 504 plans, and important documents in one place.

🤝 Communicate often: A strong partnership between parents, healthcare providers, caregivers, and educators helps ensure everyone is working toward the same goals.

📝 Know your child’s needs: Understanding your child’s strengths, challenges, and accommodations allows you to better advocate for them.

💙 Celebrate progress: Every milestone matters — whether it’s a big achievement or a small step forward.

At Unique Pediatric Hearts, we believe every child deserves compassionate care, encouragement, and the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. We are honored to support families and children throughout their journey.

✨ Here’s to a successful, safe, and positive school year! ✨

As families head to Open House today and prepare for a new school year, we want to wish every student, parent, teacher, therapist, and school staff member an amazing year ahead! 💙📚

For families of children with special needs, we know this season can bring excitement, but also uncertainty. New classrooms, new teachers, new routines, and important meetings can feel overwhelming.

At Unique Pediatric Hearts, we want you to know you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Our trained advocacy team is here to support families during IEP and 504 meetings by helping ensure everyone is communicating effectively and working together in the best interest of your child. We don’t create the IEP—we stand beside families to help them understand the process, ask important questions, and advocate for the services their child needs.

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

If you or someone you know could benefit from advocacy and support this school year, we’d love to help.

🍎 Here’s to a successful, safe, and exciting school year for all of our amazing students!

📚 Back-to-School Advocacy for Special Needs Families 💙

The new school year is almost here, and that means many families are preparing for IEP and 504 meetings.

Did you know you don’t have to attend these meetings alone?

At Unique Pediatric Hearts, our trained staff provides advocacy and support during IEP and 504 meetings. We are there to help families better understand the discussion, encourage open communication between the family and school team, and help ensure your child’s educational needs are clearly addressed.

Please note: We do not create or write IEPs or 504 Plans. Those plans are developed by the school team with parent participation. Our role is to support, educate, and advocate for families throughout the process.

For children receiving or applying for Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP) services, having an appropriate IEP or 504 Plan is an important part of the process.

If your child has an upcoming IEP or 504 meeting and you’d like a knowledgeable advocate by your side, we’re here to help.

💙 Weekend Resource Spotlight from Unique Pediatric Hearts 💙

At Unique Pediatric Hearts, we believe every child deserves opportunities to play, learn, and be part of their community. We love sharing resources that support children with medical complexities and disabilities.

🌟 Events happening around Georgia this weekend:

🧩 Puzzle Pals Playdate – Macon
A sensory-friendly event created specifically for children with complex medical needs and their families. Families can enjoy inclusive activities, connect with other parents, and meet organizations that provide valuable resources. Admission is free with registration. (Eventbrite)

💦 Adaptive Family Swim Party – Gwinnett County
An inclusive swim event for individuals with disabilities and their families, hosted in partnership with Spectrum Autism Support and AngelFish. (Gwinnett County)

Even if these events aren’t close to home, we encourage families to look for similar opportunities in their own communities. Building connections with other parents can make a world of difference.

At Unique Pediatric Hearts, we’re here to support families navigating life with medically fragile children by providing compassionate in-home nursing care through Georgia’s GAPP program.

We know the long days, the sleepless nights, the countless appointments, and the overwhelming responsibility that comes with caring for a child with complex medical needs. You shouldn’t have to do it alone.

💙 **Protecting the Integrity of the Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP)** 💙

At Unique Pediatric Hearts, we believe every family deserves honest information so they can make informed decisions about their child's care.

As technology continues to evolve, families may come across advertisements, social media posts, or messages that appear to be personalized or generated using artificial intelligence (AI). While AI can be a helpful tool for education and communication, it should never be used to pressure, mislead, or improperly solicit families.

The GAPP program exists to provide medically necessary care—not to create competition through aggressive marketing or misleading information.

That's why our commitment is simple:

💙 We provide accurate information.
💙 We follow Medicaid and GAPP guidelines.
💙 We respect every family's right to choose their provider.
💙 We focus on education instead of pressure.

We believe that protecting the integrity of the GAPP program helps ensure these important services remain available for the children and families who need them now and in the future.

If you ever have questions about GAPP or want to better understand how the program works, we're always happy to provide information and help you explore your options.
