Building strong schools takes communication, collaboration, and a willingness to listen to different perspectives; so we appreciate when school board candidates take the initiative to reach out to begin a conversation. New connections create opportunities for meaningful dialogue, shared understanding, and stronger working relationships that can benefit our entire school community.
Regardless of where we stand on individual candidates or their platforms, it is important to recognize the value of open communication and the need to build and nurture relationships among educators, school board members, families, and community stakeholders.
At the heart of these connections is a shared responsibility to keep our children’s needs at the forefront of our conversations and decisions.
