Leaders from across Los Angeles County gathered at Barton Elementary School in Long Beach for the Future of Digital Opportunity Summit. The event brought together educators, tech advocates, government reps, and community organizations to talk about closing the digital divide and building stronger, more connected communities. Hosted by groups like and the summit focused on creating real impact through collaboration, innovation, and sustainable funding. Attendees shared ideas, success stories, and strategies for making digital tools and internet access more available to everyone, especially in underserved areas. It was an inspiring day focused on shaping a future where everyone in LA County has the opportunity to thrive in the digital world!

We just delivered 258 shiny new laptops to district and let’s just say, WiFi signals aren’t the only thing getting stronger. The CSUDH Workforce Integration Network is all about turning access into opportunity. More tech = more dreams coming to life. Let’s go, L.A.! The digital divide doesn’t stand a chance. This initiative aligns with Rep. Gomez's dedication to expanding access to education and technology. He's been a vocal advocate for digital equity, supporting programs that provide essential tools and resources to underserved communities. To bridge the digital divide, CSUDH’s Workforce Integration Network (WIN) is working to expand technology access and digital literacy. For The Love of Women art exhibit hosted by and gave digital media students the opportunity to hone their skills by interviewing artist who talked about art and the digital divide. California State University Dominguez Hills faculty were also in attendance.
