The Central High Chorus stays busy throughout the school year. Students can expect to receive instruction in the following areas when they become a part of the CHS Chorus:
- Overall musicianship
- Ensemble and vocal technique
- Music theory (music reading/sight-reading, ear training, scales, musical terms and symbols)
- Singing posture
- Multi-language diction
- Ensemble/solo repertoire knowledge

and appreciation
- Concert etiquette
- Historical and societal significance of music

Students who are part of the CHS Chorus exhibit these qualities:
- Personal integrity
- Personal responsibility
- Personal accountability
- The ability to work with a team
- A commitment to excellence

Students have the option of participating in a multitude of activities throughout the year:
- Four concerts throughout the school year
- Large Group Performance Evaluations for specific choirs
- A variety of local honor choirs
- Georgia All-State Chorus
- GHSA Literary
- The annual chorus trip

Central High School has once again been and named the BEST high school in Carroll County and one of the best in the United States by U.S. News & World Report!

The newly released U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings recognize Central High School as the top-ranked high school in Carroll County.

Central continues to distinguish itself through outstanding academic performance. Subject proficiency data shows that our students outperform other schools in our district and students across Georgia in mathematics, reading, and science. With a graduation rate that has consistently remained above 97% in recent years, it is easy to see why Central earned a place among the nation's best high schools.

This recognition belongs to our entire Central Lion family.

We’ve been busy over here at Central! Our chorus classes have been in the midst of uniform fittings, voice placements, and making envelopes for writing affirmations to each other. 🎶

Theater has been working on improvisation skills by embodying different characters and creating spontaneous dialogue. 🎭

Our Legally Blonde cast is barreling forward with choreography, music, and blocking. They mean business! 🎟️

It’s been a great start to the semester! We are excited about all the opportunities coming up. 🎤
