Three CMS students are showing up and showing out in Cooperstown today! Tripp Beaumel, Bray Cowart, and Hudson Whittenburg after Day 1 of pool play-all three of these boys hit home runs today and between the three of them drove in 8 runs! 👏 They are back at it tomorrow representing The Pride on the biggest stage again! We are all cheering for you Lions! 🦁💪♥️👏

Mrs. Jones, our admin team, and PTO were rolling through the halls first thing this morning with the Woot Woot Wagon! 🎉
In honor of Hawaiian Shirt Day, our staff were treated to a festive lei and a refreshing drink to kick off the day!

Congratulations to Central Middle School, Carrollton, Georgia Principal Colleen Jones for being named a finalist for Middle School Principal of the Year by the Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals! Mrs. Jones has been principal of CMS since 2022 after serving in the same role at Ithica Elementary for five years.

Schools under her leadership have earned numerous awards. Most recently CMS received national recognition from the Association for Middle Level Education as one of only 24 Schools of Distinction in the country and the only school in Georgia during 2025. She was awarded an Outstanding Educator Award by the Student Support Team Association for Georgia Educators this summer at the GAEL summer conference. She will be presenting next month at the SSTAGE Fall Conference in Macon. GASSP will name the Middle School Principal of the Year after final in-person interviews are conducted over the next few weeks.
