🍩Donuts with Grownups- May 6 or 8, 7-7:40am
Sign up to volunteer and come enjoy a donut with your kiddo!

🚩PTA General Meeting- May 8, 5:30pm
Our meetings are anything but boring! We've got FREE pizza and snacks, and the kids can decorate posters and flags to cheer on their favorite team at the Teachers vs. Students Kickball game, following the meeting!

🛼 Interskate Spirit Night- May 9, 6-8pm
Come skate with your friends and meet other families! Interskate donates $5 back to our PTA for every skater. Paper waivers will be sent home next week!

Today's the day! Stop by Nice Boba Studio between noon and 9pm and they'll donate 20% back to our PTA! 🧋

Nice Boba Studio SPIRIT DAY! 🧋

Nice Boba has been an amazing partner this year! They provided boba tea for both Anime Movie Night and Multicultural Night at minimal cost to our PTA, and absolutely free for attendees.

It's time for us to give back to them! But because they are extra awesome, they are giving 20% of all purchased back to our PTA when HVE PTA is mentioned!! It's a win-win!

Earth Fest 2025 was a big success! 🌎

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, our PTA board, our high school helpers, our amazing HVE staff, and our sponsors, Hebron Gardens and Lowe's! I also want to thank Carrollton Texas Fire Rescue, Cub Scout Pack 749 - North Carrollton, Ross' Rowdy Bees, NICE Spice Junction and Kona Ice for making this event possible.

In case you were wondering, you CAN fit 250 flowers and 3 bags of soil in a minivan!

A massive thank you to Chuck at Hebron Gardens for donating these beautiful flowers for Earth Fest! When I asked him weeks ago if he would donate to our event, he didn't hesitate to sign up. He intentionally gave us a big variety so the kids can hand pick which flower they want to plant! I am so grateful to him for making Earth Fest extra special. 🌸🌼🌺

EARTH FEST TO-DO:

✔️Compete in the family field day games at 2pm
✔️Pet a llama at the petting zoo
✔️Grab a snow cone from Kona Ice 🍧
✔️Create a bird feeder
✔️Make a seed bomb
✔️Hang out with the firefighters and check out their fire truck 🚒
✔️Grab a snack at the $1 concession stand
✔️Touch and release lady bugs 🐞
✔️Bounce on a bounce house and race a friend on the Shadow Obstacle Course (with a third bounce house just for kindergarten and younger!)
✔️Feeling hungry after jumping; refuel with NICE Spice Junction

✔️Check out Ross' Rowdy Bees and see a real bee hive 🐝
✔️Stop by the Cub Scout Pack 749 - North Carrollton booth

Our third, fourth, and fifth graders enjoyed an author visit with Nancy Golden yesterday! She encouraged them to think, see and wonder about the world around them and discussed how to start writing on their own.

These kids are so inspiring and doing amazing things! We loved to see the creativity and critical thinking that filled the room. 📖

Did we mention that there will be a llama at the school on Saturday? I mean sure, there will be a lady bug release, bounce houses, family field day (sack races! Three legged race!), decorating pots for beautiful donated flowers, amazing food and more. But a llama. A real. live. llama. And you get to pet it!

Attention all huskies! We still have some needs for Earth Fest on Saturday! 🌎

PTA Kids (and their hardworking parents!) did an amazing job cleaning up the school!

We fixed, cleaned, and put away umbrellas from the courtyard, replaced nets on soccer goals, weeded courtyard flower beds, trimmed hedges, raked leaves, fixed the front edging, picked up a dozen bags of trash, and swept, vacuumed and cleaned the shed!

As a bonus, when we were cleaning the shed, we found pool noodles and old soccer nets to use on set for Finding Nemo!

If you weren't able to make it, you can always do your own family clean up day! There's always trash to pick up and weeds to pull! 🌱

IT'S RAINING PRODUCE! Sprouts Farmers Market generously donated a case of bananas and oranges to snack on during our Campus Clean-Up tomorrow from 9-10:30am! The rain has passed and it's time to get our school looking tip-top! It will be a beautiful morning to tidy the outdoor shed, pick up trash and clean up the courtyard. Bring gloves, outdoor tools like a rake and trowel (labeled with your name!), and a good attitude!
