Exciting news in our college! 🎉 We welcome Political Science and Criminology & Criminal Justice to our School of Social Sciences—and announce the creation of the new School of Psychology.

Beginning in Fall 2026, UWG College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences will welcome criminology and political science majors, as well as introduce a new School of Psychology!

To strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and establish academic identity, this restructuring brings benefits to current and prospective students, as well as the broader campus community.

Dr. Alzbeta Hajkova, Assistant Professor of Philosophy, recently completed her time as a Governor’s Teaching Fellow at the Louise McBee Institute of Higher Education, University of Georgia.
