Here at lone star, in celebration of it almost being christmas, we have been doing lots of dung christmas themed activities! Today, we painted paper plates green to create a reef !

Happy Monday !! Here at lone star, we have a period of time we call small group! This gives the kids a chance to each work on a different activity, wether it be on their own or with a partner. It can be an activity that works on fine motor or gross motor skills, counting, color sorting or building. Here, the kids are using these magnetic building shapes to create a tower!

We had lots of painting fun today at loan star ! Today, the kids used their fingers as their paintbrushes to dot lights on a string of Christmas lights🎄. Finger painting is a cognitive development and hand-eye coordination tool. It’s also just a FUN way for kids to relax and express their emotions❄️⛄️.

Tummy time is super important for infants! It helps baby’s develop strong neck and back muscles so they can start to eventually crawl and sit up! Tummy time also helps prevent flat spots from appearing on baby’s head.

It’s never too early to get in the Christmas spirit🎄! Today at loanstar , we did an activity where the kids had to put different shapes in their spot on the Christmas tree. We talked about what the shapes looked like and how many sides each one had.

Happy Monday ! We are so glad to be back after a long thanksgiving weekend🦃. Today the kids used colored stickers to form a shape of a candy cane. Working with stickers helps the kids with picking grasp skills. And using the stickers to create something helps them with shape formation and recognition.

Happy Wednesday 🍂!! In celebration for thanksgiving being around the corner, we made paper plate turkeys ! We used clothes pins clipped on pompon balls, which helps with the kids coordination, as our painting utensils to paint the feathers of our turkeys 🦃. activities

Color recognition is an important developmental step for Infants. It also plays along with object recognition and knowing the difference between objects. Here at loan star , we expose the kids to many different activities that helps with that, for example: building blocks!!🔵🟢🟡
