🌎⚽ What an incredible opportunity for UWG Sport Management!

We’re proud to celebrate the faculty, students, and alumni from the University of West Georgia Sport Management Program who played a role in the FIFA World Cup 2026! From stadium operations and accreditation to event management and fan experience, UWG representatives gained valuable hands-on experience while contributing to one of the world’s largest sporting events.

Opportunities like these showcase the power of experiential learning and the impact of UWG Sport Management in preparing future leaders for careers in the sports industry. We couldn’t be more proud of our Wolves! 🐺

Congratulations to Kylie Hardy, one of our current Georgia’s BEST students, on being named Cobb County’s 2026–2027 District Teacher of the Year! 🎉

Kylie has dedicated 12 years to education and currently serves as the ESOL Lead Teacher at Mableton Elementary, where she helps students from around the world develop the language skills they need to thrive in school and beyond.

We’re so proud to see one of our current students receive this well-deserved recognition and make such a meaningful impact in the lives of her students and school community. Congratulations, Kylie! We’re honored to celebrate this incredible achievement with you! 💙

We are proud to celebrate Dr. Ralitsa Akins, M.D., Ph.D., on an extraordinary research milestone as her peer-reviewed publication on Delphi research methodology has reached 1,391 citations, with her research utilized by scholars across six continents and numerous fields, including education, social sciences, mental health, e-learning, business, cybersecurity, and more. Congratulations, Dr. Akins! 🎓
