In celebration of Read Across America Week, President Johnson joined our littlest Wolves for a special Pre-K storytime at the UWG College of Education’s Early Learning Center! Our students were delighted to hear Cupcake by Charise Mericle Harper and Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman.

This fun-filled morning highlighted the joy of reading while fostering early literacy and inspiring a lifelong love of books in our community’s children. 📚💙📚❤️

Today, we had the distinct honor of welcoming nearly 100 counselors to our inaugural UWG Professional Counseling Mini-Conference, thoughtfully organized by Dr. Carey Crawford. This milestone event marks only the beginning of the transformative work made possible through her $1.7 million federal grant.

Awarded to Dr. Crawford in the University of West Georgia College of Education, this funding will help eliminate economic and geographic barriers for aspiring counselors while strengthening mental health support in some of the region’s most underserved rural communities.

Dr. Crawford’s impact is just beginning, and the promise of this investment will be felt for years to come. ⭐️💙❤️
