Our young middle schoolers are on a quest to explore life’s big issues. They will take a journey through Unitarian Universalism by examining topics such as death, race, and the role of money in their lives. Service projects and time in our Community Garden will connect them to the wider community.

Our new minister arrives August 15. Can you help us get ready for Rev. Lora Brandis?
Adults are needed to lend a hand during class Sunday, August 14 to prepare signs and make other decorations with the children and teens to welcome Rev. Lora when she officially begins at Horizon. Email [email protected] if you can help that Sunday.
Learn Game Design this Sunday, July 31 with Horizon parent Kevin O’Gorman from 10:45-11:45 am in Room E2 (OWL room)
In addition to the video games you see everywhere every day, tabletop games are seeing a big resurgence. Board games, card games, dice games -- you name it. And the best part is, anyone can make them. Join veteran digital and tabletop game designer Kevin O'Gorman this Sunday as he shares his passion and shows you how easy it is to make your own tabletop games.
Summer Classes for Grades 6-8* and 9-12*
Begin June 12th
All summer, special guests will come and lead our preteens and teens in sessions to explore spiritual practices and the search for truth and meaning. The teens will learn about art, photography, cooking, and other specialized areas our leaders will present.
Summer classes are about to begin!
Help us get ready
Thank you to the adults who have already come forward to offer their skills to our kids this summer.
We are still looking for adults to lead specific sessions
(You don’t need to be an expert!)
Our 10-13 year olds are especially in need of adult leaders
Are you artistic? Teens would love to learn these techniques from you - Meditative drawing, Zentangles, creating mandalas, etc.
Can you make jewelry? Our kids would love to learn from you.
Do you bake bread or biscuits? We need a leader or two to teach teens to make no-rise bread from scratch (recipe and ingredients provided)
Do you own a pasta maker? Teach our youth how to make their own spaghetti.
Contact Lauren if you can help: [email protected]
A big thank you goes out to the 2015-16 teachers of our children and teens!
The congregation thanks you for your dedication to our children this year
